ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring a Growth Operations & Financial Advisory Manager to sit at the intersection of two of Darkroom’s most critical client-facing functions. This role reports directly to the VP of Finance and carries dual responsibility: owning the operational lifecycle of our proprietary Flight Plan infrastructure for e-commerce clients, and supporting the delivery of Darkroom’s Financial Advisory services.

This is a high-ownership, client-facing role built for someone who is equally comfortable managing complex operational systems and advising founders on the financial health of their business. You will work closely with the VP of Finance and serve as a key point of contact for Darkroom’s e-commerce brand clients.

This is a fully remote role supporting a team in the EST time zone (9 AM–5 PM EST).

WHAT YOU’LL DO

OWN THE FLIGHT PLAN INFRASTRUCTURE

The Flight Plan is Darkroom’s proprietary financial and operational infrastructure built specifically for e-commerce brands. It includes dashboard systems and P&L frameworks designed to give clients real-time visibility into their business performance. You will be responsible for:

– Managing the full lifecycle of the Flight Plan from client onboarding through full operational deployment.

– Ensuring each client’s Flight Plan is properly set up, maintained, and generating actionable insights.

– Monitoring the health and accuracy of each client’s operational and financial dashboards (P&Ls, revenue tracking, margin reporting, etc.).

– Proactively identifying gaps or inefficiencies in a client’s infrastructure and driving resolution.

– Ensuring clients are actively using and benefiting from the insights derived from their Flight Plan.

SUPPORT THE FINANCIAL ADVISORY DEPARTMENT

Darkroom’s Financial Advisory practice offers two core services to e-commerce brands: cash flow management and financial strategy. You will work directly with the VP of Finance to deliver and scale both:

CASH FLOW MANAGEMENT

– Oversee the bookkeeper responsible for day-to-day cash flow operations across client engagements.

– Review and validate the accuracy of cash flow reports, aging schedules, and working capital summaries produced by the bookkeeper.

– Ensure the bookkeeper is maintaining clean, audit-ready records and flagging liquidity risks in a timely manner.

– Serve as the quality control layer between the bookkeeper’s output and what is presented to clients or leadership.

FINANCIAL STRATEGY

– Develop and maintain financial models for e-commerce brand clients.

– Use financial models to drive strategic recommendations across growth drivers, cost structure, margin improvement, and cash conversion cycle optimization.

– Advise clients on balance sheet health and cash flow progression toward their goals and projections.

– Support clients in understanding their runway and readiness for future fundraising.

– Identify opportunities for strategic expansion or cost reduction based on financial performance data.

– You have investment or advisory experience that allows you to guide clients on runway, fundraising readiness, and capital
