FRACTIONAL SENIOR FULL STACK ENGINEER (STABILIZATION / AI-GENERATED CODE)

Location: Remote (LATAM & Eastern Europe)
Type: Contract / Fractional (10–40 hrs/week)

OVERVIEW

We’re hiring a senior, hands-on engineer to support multiple early-stage products that need stabilization.

Most projects were built quickly by non-technical founders using AI tools. As a result, codebases are often incomplete, inconsistent, or fragile.

This role is focused on reviewing, fixing, and stabilizing existing systems not just building new features.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

– Review and assess existing codebases (often AI-generated or founder-built)

– Identify bugs, structural issues, and technical risks

– Refactor and stabilize applications for production use

– Improve performance, structure, and maintainability

– Fill gaps in core functionality (auth, payments, backend logic)

– Implement lightweight QA / testing where needed

– Collaborate with engineers, QA, and project leads

– Work across multiple projects as priorities shift

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

– 5+ years of full stack experience

– Strong experience working in messy / inherited codebases

– Comfortable operating without full documentation

– Proven ability to take products from MVP → stable product

– Practical, solution-oriented mindset (not theoretical)

– Strong communication and team collaboration

– Comfortable in fast-moving, delivery-focused environments

TECH STACK (FLEXIBLE)

– Python (FastAPI, Django) – preferred

– Node.js / TypeScript

– React / Next.js

– Firebase, Supabase, or similar

– APIs & modern web architectures
