Zapier is looking for a Manager/Sr. Manager, Sales-Assist to join the Sales and Customer Success org at Zapier.
The Sales-Assist team serves our core customer segment as they evaluate and buy Zapier’s products, acting as a dedicated sales point of contact primarily through Live Chat and secondarily through Calls and Email. Today, this team supports an inbound sales motion, proactively engages existing customers based on product signals to drive expansion, and focuses largely on faster sales-cycle opportunities. Success in this role looks like helping teams and organizations adopt and scale automation through Zapier’s products, while evolving the Sales-Assist motion into a more data-driven, targeted, and scalable growth engine.
This is not just a people management role. We’re looking for a leader who can combine high-judgment team leadership with strong analytical horsepower, program ownership, systems thinking, and AI. The right candidate will know how to identify growth opportunities, translate data into action, improve how work gets routed and prioritized, and leverage AI to drive change across the team. They will go beyond dashboard building to shape strategy, improve execution, and drive measurable business outcomes.

ABOUT YOU
– You are located in India and able to work 5:00 pm – 1:00 am IST to allow overlap with North America-based colleagues.
– You bring 6+ years of SaaS growth sales or upsell experience, ideally with horizontal platforms and AI and/or automation solutions, and a strong track record of success.
– You have 2+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing sales or upsell teams, ideally within a fast-growing or high-velocity environment.
– You are comfortable engaging with both technical and business audiences and have credibility in areas such as integrations, APIs, compliance, and scalability.
– You have experience designing and operationalizing growth programs, sales plays, or GTM experiments that drive pipeline, expansion, conversion, or revenue efficiency.
– You understand how segmentation, routing, scoring, prioritization, and sales motions work together, and you know how to turn those levers into better team focus and better outcomes.
– You have a strong sense of program ownership and can independently lead cross-functional initiatives from idea to rollout to measurable impact.
– You thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and bring a builder’s mindset to new challenges.
– You’re deeply curious, especially about AI and automation, and are eager to experiment with new technologies that improve team and customer outcomes.
– You’re a strong communicator, able to align internal stakeholders and build rapport with executives across customer organizations.
– You have experience working with global or distributed teams.
THINGS YOU’LL DO
– Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing team of 10+ Sales Assist Representatives, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
– Drive the team to meet and exceed revenue and customer growth goals while improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of the Sales-Assist motion.
– Identify and run high-impact programs and experiments that improve conversion, expansion, routing, prioritization, and sales productivity across the Sales-Assist funnel.
– Recruit, hire, and onboard top sales talent while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
– Coach and develop your team through regular feedback, chat reviews, call reviews, deal reviews, pipeline inspection, and career development planning.
– Partner closely with stakeholders across sales, growth, and data to translate insights, enrichment, and modeling into scalable workflows and better execution.
– Lead change management for new processes, tools, and ways of working, ensuring the team adopts improvements effectively and sustainably.
