Principal UX Researcher – UK
Immersive is hiring! Could you be our next UX Researcher?
We’re looking for an experienced, customer-centric and data-driven individual to join our Product team as a Principal UX Researcher
As a voice and advocate for Product excellence within Immersive, you will be a key driver of the evolution of our flagship Immersive One platform, ensuring we continue to delight our users and expand our market leadership.
Reporting directly to our Director of Product Design and based out of the UK, your mission (if you choose to accept it) is to define the future of the Immersive One user experience, wielding platform-level research as the ultimate force to shape our overarching strategy, inform critical system-level architecture, and forge an evidence-driven product culture at its core. You love to go through customer and user feedback, research, prioritise, and validate your assumptions with data.
You will lead on generative and evaluative research: interviews, task/usability testing, concept/prototype tests, surveys, tree testing, card sorting, and longitudinal work where needed
As a key driver within our Product org, you will bring a strong customer centric mindset and can turn complex platform questions into decision-ready evidence.
This is not a “run usability tests on screens” role — it’s a strategic research leadership role where you’ll help shape the Immersive One platform direction and build our research engine.
As a senior individual contributor in the team, your main responsibilities will include:
– Be the key driver of the Immersive One platform research strategy, unifying products, personas, and complex workflows.
– Run mixed-method research at product pace: interviews, usability/task testing, concept and prototype evaluation, tree tests, card sorts, surveys, and longitudinal work when it’s the right tool.
– Transform raw qualitative and quantitative data into high-impact, compelling strategic narratives that decisively influence roadmaps, prioritisation, and major investment decisions.
– Bridge the gap between grand research vision and immediate execution, translating multi-quarter platform blueprints into actionable, high-impact outcomes.
– Architect research frameworks, playbooks, and enablement practices that multiply research effectiveness and elevate organizational maturity.
– Weave together research, analytics, user feedback, and market signals into cohesive strategic narratives
– Establish a repeatable learning engine: intake/prioritisation, cadence (e.g. weekly/fortnightly testing), synthesis rituals, and an insight repository that’s easy to reuse.
– Coach designers and PMs on lightweight research techniques and evidence-based decision making.
Sounds good? We’d love to hear from you if you have proven experience in the following areas, but don’t worry if you don’t hit each one exactly:
– Deep experience leading research in B2B SaaS / enterprise or other complex product environments. You possess visionary leadership in research, defined by systems-level thinking and mastery of qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
– Track record of influencing strategy and building repeatable research practices (not just running studies). You’re great at insight storytelling and can synthesize complexity into narratives that captivate and move senior stakeholders and executives.
– Proven track record of spearheading research within vast enterprise, multi-product, or platform ecosystems.
– Demonstrated capability to shift product strategy at an architectural level, far surpassing feature-level influence.
– You thrive on complexity, guiding the organization through shifting product and market landscapes to a clear path forward.
– You’ve built scalable research infrastructure, developing foundational frameworks, playbooks, and repeatable processes.
– Fluent in measurement frameworks, including sentiment, t
